The child practices comparing lengths directly from a shared starting line, a basis of measuring.

Common pitfalls

Pens must start at the same point, otherwise the comparison is misleading. Always use the same starting line.

How to practice at home

Lay several pencils next to each other on the table, line them all up evenly and find the longest.
