In every row, column and diagonal the sum must be the same.
All the numbers from 1 to 9 must each appear exactly once.
Find the missing numbers so that everywhere the same target sum comes out.
Example
For parents
What does this exercise practice?
This exercise trains logical thinking and calculating skill: children learn to keep several conditions in mind at once and to try things on purpose.
Common pitfalls
Children often put in the first number that fits, without checking the other conditions. Help them recalculate every row and column right after filling in.
How to practice at home
Draw an empty 3x3 grid on paper and fill in numbers together. Who can make a row where the sum is the same everywhere? Even the search is a math adventure.
