From Table to Chart

A table shows numbers. A bar chart shows the same numbers as bars.
For each row, color in a bar as tall as the number in the table.

Example: The table says Acorn 7.
So you color the bar for Acorn 7 squares tall.

Example

FindCount
Acorn7
Feather4
Mushroom9
Stone5
7Acorn4Feather9Mushroom5Stone

For parents

What does this exercise practice?

Transfer numbers from a table into a bar chart.

Common pitfalls

Children often color the bar one square too tall or too short. Count the squares carefully and compare with the number in the table.

How to practice at home

Collect things at home and write a small table. Then draw a bar chart for it together.
