In a number sequence it always goes on in the same step.
First find the step, then you simply count on like that.
Example: 26, 28, 30, ...
Here 2 is added every time, so the next one is 32.
A sequence can also go backwards, then something is subtracted.
Example: 94, 92, 90, ... (2 less every time).
The numbers filled in show the solution.
Example
For parents
What does this exercise practice?
Practice counting on evenly in fixed steps.
Common pitfalls
Children often forget to check the step. Say it out loud: from 26 to 28 is 2, so it goes in steps of 2.
How to practice at home
Count together on the stairs in steps of 2 or 5, forwards and backwards.
