In this game you look for the way out of the dungeon!
You start at the entrance and calculate your way from square to square to the exit.
This is how it works:
Start in the start square (top) with the entrance number.
Read the first calculation step in the path, work it out and look for the square with the result.
Carry on like that until you reach the exit.
Example: Start is the 2 (entrance).
First step + 5 makes 7, then − 1 makes 6, then + 2 makes 8.
That way you go square by square to the exit.
The numbers written in show the answer.

What does this exercise practice?
Confidently calculate several addition and subtraction steps in a row and keep track.
Common pitfalls
Children easily lose their place in the row and look for the result in the wrong square. It helps to lightly mark each visited square with a pencil.
How to practice at home
Play it with a die and notepaper, choose a starting number and calculate step by step together.
