Written Addition

For written addition you calculate column by column.
The ones go under the ones, the tens under the tens, the hundreds under the hundreds and so on.

This is how you do it:
1. First add the ones and write the result on the far right.
2. Then add all the other places from right to left.
3. In some tasks you add three numbers at once.

If the result of a column is bigger than 9, a carry goes into the next column.
The numbers written in show the answer.

Example

23145+4121364358
156234+232451388685
