Reading Charts

A bar graph shows numbers with bars.
The taller the bar, the bigger the number.

This is how you read the graph:
1. Look at the label below, what is being counted?
2. Read the number at the top of the bar.
3. Compare the bars with each other.

The numbers written in show the answer.

Matching bar height and value correctly. Tip: run the ruler from the top of the bar to the number.

Draw weather data or class surveys as a bar chart and ask each other questions about it.
